In Halladakeri farm, research activities on sugarcane, redgram and Soybean, nucleus / breeder seed production of soybean, wheat seed production and sugarcane seed multiplication activities are carried out. The Janawad farm (Total area: 14.58 ha) has medium black type of soil and is rainfed. In Janawada farm, major research activities on greengram, blackgram and soybean were taken up to identify suitable varieties, plant protection, management practices suitable for rainfed crop situations. Research trials are conducted on redgram, bengalgram, Rabi Sorghum, millets, sesamum, niger and sunflower.

Major mandate of our research station is to develop/identify varieties /crop production and plant protection technologies in major crops of our zone viz., soybean, greengram, blackgram, redgram and sugarcane to cater the needs of farmers of our zone.  The major achievements of our station are development/identification/adoption of varieties suitable for our region. Apart from developing varieties intensive research on crop production, crop protection, nutrient management and seed technology were also carried out in the research station.  Some important contributions in crop protection are integrated disease management practices in ginger, greengram, redgram and blackgram. Similarly integrated pest management in redgram, greengram, blackgram and sugarcane.
